Some 2016 Schleich additions and almost vacation for three weeks! Vacation! Well, almost. Next week we will be traveling around with our caravan, bus and Gaell. Moving trough our own country. We desperately need a break, a vacation just to relax and enjoy ourselves. The last few months have been very hectic, busy, stressful and just bleh... Realizing that we almost forgot ourselves and each other to pleasure everyone else around us. Especially Tijn, who's work has been tugging on him really bad these last couple of weeks. We manage, but we need a break! That means, three weeks with almost no internet, no way to wright a blog-entry. After this vacation, normal life starts again and I hope to show you guys some neat new additions. Although that will not me my main focus while we are away. But no worries for now, as I found some new 2016 Schleich animals in two/three weeks, to be worthy of joining my collection. Schleich has gone into a totally different direction these last years and I am not buying as many as I did before. But the ones I buy are very well done and are, in my honest opinion, the best of the new years releases. Lets start with an unusual critter, a pangolin! Mojo Fun already made one and is proudly standing in my collection. So he was a big overwhelmed when i brought the new 2016 Schleich one home. You can see clearly that it is a Schleich model, as it looks rather cute than realistic. Bigger paws, big black ayes and a short stumpy tail makes this fella a nice but cute looking pangolin. Lets see in the photos how my two pangolins get along. During a visit in one of my favorite toy/merch shops, I came across two new Schleich 2016 cows; a Holstein cow and her calf. Prices for Schleich went up this year and I was therefor doubting to get them. I already had the older version of the Holstein cow and calf and was not in need for any more Bovines at that moment. Before I walked out of the shop, I placed them side by side in the rack to be found by other collectors. But when I visited again, a week or so later, they still where there the way I placed and left them. They had not been moved an inch, no one even had the though to pick one up and look at the cow nor the calf. Oke, well, if no one else is interested in them, than I will take them home! I grabbed the pair and Tijn was smiling, he knew my reason and he was looking at me with a face like: I told you, you need to buy them. So now they are standing with the rest of my Bovine herd. Photos! Comparison photos with the older Holsteins; Left are the older versions, right are the new 2016 versions. That is it for this blog-entry. I see you all after our vacation is over. Hope to find something, but can't really promise anything. Just want to relax, enjoy our rest, nature and each other <3
