AAA macaw, BC plush and some other things. So this week I got some animal related stuff I want to show you. I went together with my BF to a zoo, where I found some really nice animal related stuff! The zoos primal direction are primates from all over the world, but they have some other small animals as well. In the gift shop I found a AAA macaw! In perfect condition and for a reasonable price. (Often gift shop prices are way to high...) So I took one with me! I love the colors and his paint job is great. Just like other AAA animal, the size is not is scale with the rest of my other parrot family. So he is standing with my other bigger animals, like Safari Vanishing Wild. Why the little Lego block, because it is a good measuring item if the photo gets on TAI (Toy Animal Info or Wiki). On a side note: So apparently, the upper side of the macaws beak is suppose to be white! This was pointed out to me by one of the members of a nice Facebook animal model collecting group. I looked better at my macaw and found a tiny little white area underneath the upper beak. So it was painted over with black paint. I have no idea why. But it is strange! My macaw has the typical triangle AAA mark that AAA uses to mark their animals with. I wish I could get more information about this. Even the real bird has a white upper beak. I also found a little blank notepad and a book page-divider with the same print. 3D jungle animal print. The image is drawn, which I like obviously. And the 3D effect gives it a little more of a wow effect. There where different types of notepads and book page-dividers with different themes. But the jungle one caught my eye the most. It also has a macaw on it, to stick with the AAA macaw theme. Not sure if I'm going to use the notepad, but it is always handy to have one laying around. On the same day we went tot the zoo, we went also to a flea market. But it was not a of a big success as I had hoped it would be. Sometimes you don't have all the luck. I did found some stuff that was interesting, but I had better hauls on flea markets before. I found a Elseviers shell guide. I love the guides from Elsevier, who is a publisher. They have many interesting guides about nature and animals. And with the drawings that I love! I already had the horse guide and the freshwater fish guide, so now I have three. Condition of the book could be better. The underside was wet and then dried the wrong way. So the first few pages where stuck together, so they are a bit damaged after I took them loose. Also the back and front cover of the book have some sun bleach damage as well. But the Elseviers guides are hard to get these days, so I don't complain much about the condition it is in now XD Besides, the shells pictured in the book with their information are all good. And that is the main reason I wanted this book. And the last thing I found was a little Border Collie plush from Macdonalds. We have a real Border Collie ourself, his name is Gaell. And he was the start of my model Border Collie collection! I currently have over 36 different Border Collie models, from all the big brands and more. And from different kind of materials as well. But I can't help myself if I find something Border Collie related and it is small and will fit on my desk or shelf properly and it is not a model... If it is a beautiful card, pen, book, shirt, plush, magnet, jewelry or such, I will collect it. All Border Collie related stuff <3 Crazy collector, I know. The plush is not that good, but for a Macdonalds toy I can't expect much right? It is cute enough to be with my other stuffed animals.
