Almost 2018! Time flies, collections grow and I can look back on a very good year for my collection <3 On the third of November it was my birthday. Turned 27 this year, the 30 getting closer now... I still feel like a child at heart tho, especially with my collections <3 I got an amazing Birthday BB from Julie! <3 Even tho I already got an BB last month or so from her, she insisted on giving me something for my birthday. Even if I said no, she still would sent me one XD She also visited us the week after my birthday, we had such great time! <3 One day I will be visiting you! <3 First I want to note that I forgot to photograph some figures that where in the box and that we found when she was here. I reorganized my wooden shelves with all my 'other' figures and I already put some from that box on the shelves. I always keep the models aside for photographing, before they go into my collection, and this is exactly the reason why: otherwise I would forget them and they do not show in my blog. The frog from the ball, the Natoons black panther cub and some others. Thanks to my fizzy brain... First to be shown are the Safari LTD Authentic dinosaurs! <3 They have so much character, I love them. A brachiosaur, a brontosaur, a triceratops, a stegosaur and a tyrannosaurus <3 Such a nice group together. We stay with the dinosaurs for a bit, as there where also two triceratops in the package. A Jurassic Park baby triceratops and a small Schleich copy. The copy was intended to be a repaint model, but I have a soft spot for small dinosaurs and it looks good the way it is <3 As mentioned above, Julie stayed with us a few days after my birthday. She came in Friday and left Monday morning. We went to our nearby forest together, taking photos of our model animals. (With some hail along the way back. Dahm, those things hurt!) We went to some second hand shops and just had a good time together <3 She even got closer with my little girl Chii! What practically is very hard to do, as Chii is stubborn and clings to me. Yet, Chii loved the attention she was getting from Julie <3 Such a precious moment. Lets see what we found in the second hand shops! (Yup, half of it is not in the photos!) We went to Groningen, as I really wanted to show Julie an amazing little toy store called Asbran. My favorite toy store in Groningen. They sell Papo and Schleich, but if you are lucky you will find Safari LTD and some CollectA as well! I bought two Papo animals, a little gray mouse and the reindeer. I want to add more reindeer into my collection, so the Papo one is a good start. I also want the white mouse now XD Second shop I really wanted to show Julie is Terrarium Imaginarium. A shop full of shells, dried insects, taxidermy, books about that matter, some plants, just a shop for nature lovers <3 I found a 4D Master Scorpion that looked really nice! So it came home with me <3 It was a bit of a hassle to put the puzzle together, with all those legs! XD But he is done and he looks so nice! <3 We also found some bouncing balls in Asbran and some other shops too I believe. Julie was so kind to gift me one, with a little triceratops in it <3 I love these bouncing ball figures! So small, yet very detailed and in many species! We would hang around the internet for several hours, just to find more and more series of awesome animals in bouncing balls! <3 Now I want the ducks/swans series and the one with the cats <3 After a walk through the centrum and a bit to eat, Tijn was so sweet to drive around and go shopping through second hand shops with us. We visited around 4 or 5 second hand shops I think? We did not find things in some and others where a little goldmine. Again, I forgot to photograph some animals that I found or got as a gift from Julie <3 Actually, the only photo I see of those additions is a little red Border Collie figure that I do not know the brand of. I seriously forgot to photograph the rest? Uuhhg.... I had an absolute great time together with Julie <3 I really hope I can visit her place sometimes! Thank you sweets for the awesome weekend! <3 Next are things I bought from STS members. First one is a little group of three very small kitties that I bought from Gwaine (STS name). She had a bunch of these for sale and these three caught my eyes <3 They are made of a somewhat rubbery plastic material. They are about the size of a Lego block and perfect for miniature photography <3 Next is an Invicta Ichthyosaur that I bought from 75senta75 (STS name). Now I have three Invictas in my collection <3 The Ichthyosaur is a very nice model with details in the face for his eyes and mouth. Really happy to have this sea dinosaur in my collection now <3 Thank you both so much Gwaine and 75senta75! We, Tijn and I, visited Amsterdam again! <3 One of my favorite locations to go shopping <3 Of course we visited Gone With The Wind! A toy store with very friendly owners. There I found two booklets from CollectA and Schleich and I found this beautiful CollectA bowhead whale <3 CollectA are updating their older models to fit their current standard, which is absolutely great! In 2018 some whales will get an new update, which is absolute perfect for a cetacean lover like me! <3 The sperm whale, blue whale and the gray whale will be updated. But before they are going to update, if they ever will do that, the bowhead whale, I wanted the 2014 version in my collection. (I do not have any of the older whales from CollectA in my collection, with the reason they are not my taste as they are now. The new updated 2018 versions will enter in my collection for sure!) I love cetaceans <3 After some shopping, it was time to go home. But before we went home, we came across a toy store we never entered before. Usually we go the other way when we enter the city center. The Game Keeper it is called. Most of their inventory consist of board and card games and some toys/stuffed animals. But in the back was a little clear cabinet with lots of spaces filled with small toys and stuff. My eyes caught the little Bullyland minis right away and I started to search though them. These little Bullyland minis are hard to find these days! I found three prehistoric critters that I liked. A triceratops, a T-Rex and a mammoth <3 That was our trip to Amsterdam <3 We also visited some flea markets, one was in Leeuwarden. It seems that most of the stand holders are there on a regular basis, so you kinda know which ones you can expect in there. I bought a older Papo deer fawn from a stand who has two lovely owners and a lot of Schleich XD They usually sell the non-Schleich animal for a low price, as their main goal is selling Schleich animals. I always look trough those little baskets and this time i found the little Papo fawn <3 An other stand, that also sells mostly Schleich had also a box with non-Schleich animals in it. I found some very nice animals in there <3 Two Play Vision sea turtles, two Kinder Toyz stegosaurs (original molds from Bullyland) and some others that went to friends of in my UFT box. I am very happy with the two PV sea turtles <3 And the Kinder Toys are a nice addition to my small dinosaur herd <3 Next additions are from Marktplaats. I found two good looking lots this month. One was a smaller lot, but had interesting animal in it. I kept three from that lot and gave some to Julie <3 Two Safari ltd Authentic panther and armadillo and a Jeol waterbuck. My first ever Jeol animal! It has some scratches here and there, but I do not mind that, nothing major is damaged. Second lot that I found was a big one! Yet, I kept just a few and sold the rest XD In the lot was a group of PV hoofed animals! An okapi, kudu, bongo and a duiker. Also a K&M AWD and spitting cobra and a PV hyena <3 I also got some AAA animals from that lot, a frog, standing white tiger, llama foal and a hyena <3 Great group together! <3 Books! Groningen second hand shops: Other second hand shops (Sneek and Leeuwarden): And that was my last blog-entry for 2017! Next one will be an 2018 one! XD I want to wish my readers a fantastic 2018, filled with joy, happiness, friendship, luck and good health! And for the collectors: filled with lots of goodies <3 Thank you for the readers who read my blog-entries when they come out! <3
See you next year!!

Almost every year, if money allows it, I make an big end years order at ModellPferdeVersand. I order all my Wish List animals from that year (2017 in this case) and some other animals I encounter and want. I save money up for the haul, as I enjoy having all my Wish List animals and being up-to-date at the end of every year. ((Every end of the year, brands make their new animals for the next year known. It is a big happening every year, something to look forward to <3)) Lets take a look at the animals that I bought from MPV <3 First one are the CollectA animals <3 I am so happy with what they made for 2017. But one animal got me crazy the moment I found out about it, it is a Bongo antelope! <3 It is a male and he is just stunning <3 He has a standard standing pose, but that does not matter at all for this model. The colors, patterns and horns, everything is just perfect <3 Next animals are all horses, as CollectA has some great horses made in 2017. First up are a mare and foal, both are Bashkir curly horses. I love the patterns/colors and the fact that they both have an nice pose, made them extra interesting! I am more of a heavy horse person myself, but for cute mares and foals, I can always make an exception <3 They are great in outdoor photos too! <3 Next horse just blew me away! What a big horse! It looks so majestic <3 The tinker stallion! I am in love with this horse. The pose, the way the mane and tail are sculpted, just wow! <3 Do I need to say more? Last horse I got from CollectA is a cute foal <3 It is the Dartmoor foal I was missing to complete the family. I already has the stallion and mare an was doubting to buy the foal too, for a while. Till i got new shelves and more room was available for the horses. I was sure a small foal like this one would be an easy fit. So I bought him and I am very happy that I did that <3 We stay with CollectA for two more animals. My tiger shelf is already busy and can't hold that many more tigers. But when I saw that CollectA has updated their tigers. I had to have the normal colored one! <3 It is a big cat! Bigger than the Schleich current tiger and the same size, if not a tat bigger, than the Papo ones. Love the lighter orange colors an they did a nice job in the stripes too. Overall a nice looking tiger <3 Last CollectA animal is a bird. A secretary bird! What a stunning bird <3 The details are amazing on this one. The feathers are really well sculpted. The grass/soil between the legs isn't disturbing the great sculpture of this bird. Very happy with this bird in my collection <3 Next animals are all from Papo, as Papo also did a fantastic job on their new animals in 2017. Lest begin with a horse, not new for 2017 but I had my eyes on her for some time and I was very happy to see her still on sale at MPV. The Papo shire mare in brown <3 I love the way she looks and her pose! <3 The next one is also not a new 2017 figure, but also one that I had my eyes on for a while. The standing polar bear. What a majestic animal! He is tall and did not fit on the shelf I had planned for him. So I had to lift the glass shelf above the polar bear one, what was a bit nerveracking XD But I managed to lift the ones with the bigger dolphin up and now the Papo polar bear fits and is standing with the rest of my polar bears. Another Papo animals that is not new for 2017 and was on my Wish List for some time. (Yes, i am catching up on late releases XD) The Limousine calf <3 I found his mother in Amsterdam this year and I really wanted the calf also, to go with her. So happy to have him now! He is so cute and his pose is curious, standing like a brave little calf (behind his mother that is XD) <3 Here we go, 2017 Papo! I got so excited when I saw Papo was releasing a small wild cat! The ocelot! Now Papo is fantastic with their wild big cats, their lions and tigers are fantastic and their snow leopard was STS Animal Of The Year 2014. But now, they stepped up their game and introduced a small wild feline to their range. Could this little fella keep up with Papo's well known reputation? In my eyes, yes! Now the ocelot has an difficult fur pattern and is not well known by that many people. So Papo had a difficult job to make one that was beautiful yet easy to produce in great numbers. They did a good job on the fur pattern IMHO. Although the body could have more shades. His head is simple, maybe a bit to simple? Yes, but again, these animals need to be produced in high numbers. So the patters could not be that complicated. The only thing I am worried about is: Papo has the tenancy to lower their paint job quality when batches roll out of their factories. If you look at the 2014 snow leopard, with many shades and great looking spots, it is a complete difference with the ones that are sold now. Also the tigers and lions have less of a paint job than the ones that where sold in the first few batches. (Honestly, I do not know how to tell which animal is from which batch, or f there are even different batches. Just to simplify the concept, I use the term batches.) You get the point I think :) But overall, I am very, very pleased with this beautiful small wild cat! <3 We continue with two pinnipeds! My pinniped shelves are starting to get a bit crowded already, but i had to have these two the moment I saw them being released. The sea elephant and the walrus! <3 The sea elephant is smaller than the Schleich one, but beautiful nonetheless <3 it could be seen as a young beach master who still has a lot to learn. I am pretty picky when it comes to walruses, I only have the female and pup from CollectA, the small Kaiyodo one on a base and the little Safari ltd Authentics one. None of the bigger males caught my eyes so far, until I saw this pretty boy showing up! Very happy to have both in my collection now <3 Great new pinnipeds <3 The last one from Papo 2017 is the female white-tailed deer <3 Now I have the family complete and I love them! The really compliments the buck and the fawn looks so cute besides her. She has a alert pose, which makes her a nice model for outside photos. Simple but beautiful deer <3 The last from my MPV haul is a big, big horse! I was looking trough their antique side of the website and discovered this beautiful Safari ltd Blue Ribbon Clydesdale gelding! He was pricey, more than the rest of the horses I had chosen, but defiantly worth the money! He is an absolute beautiful boy and now I am looking for more Blue Ribbon horses XD The blanked he is wearing, I already had it and it fits him perfectly. And that was my MPV haul, or wasn't it? XD MPV sells Breyer, not that I am buying their horses, but they have these blind pocket boxes with three different themes: sea life, wild life and dogs. I was very curious and decided to buy some in my first haul. Two pocket boxes with the sea life theme <3 And ohmygoodness, the little fishes and such are so adorable! You get two animals with each their own sticker in a aquarium like box. You don't know which ones you will get, until you open them up. I LOVE blind boxes like these. Two boxes, four critters, all happy, right? Well, these things are kinda, addicting XD And when I saw that MPV had the CollectA sea life tubes in, I decided to order two more blind boxes! I will show you the CollectA sea life tubes in a bit, but first the complete group photo of the Breyer Blind Pocket Boxes in sea life theme <3 (From two different MPV hauls, in one month XD) And now for the CollectA sea life tubes. CollectA is just starting with these tubes, but they already look fantastic! <3 They made two different sea life tubes, each containing their own animals. No doubles, but you have to buy both to acquire them all. Lets make this a small review and go over the tubes one at a time. The tubes themselves are great and are made out of sturdy plastic, so they can handle a bit of a ruff and tumble. These tubes are opened up on the side! Which I love! The well known Safari ltd tubes are opened up on the top, which can be a small hassle to put the animal back in and out. You have no trouble with that with these CollectA tubes <3 Like I said above, each tube have their own animals. In the photos, there are some animals missing, these are the animals I am keeping, the others are going to collector friends. So I will do in incomplete review of the animal that i want to keep XD The animals that are in the tubes, are all a miniature version of the bigger animals they have in their lines. Despite them being smaller, they do have a great looking paint job and they are very well sculpted <3 Or course some details could be better, but they have to be small and therefor some details could not be added as they where made I assume. Nonetheless, they are wonderful little critters! <3 Sure a must have for every sea animal lover out there <3 Still not done with MPV XD Last animal is an other pinniped! The CollectA sea leopard. Now I was really doubting to get this one, despite being it a very rare pinniped in model form. It seemed a bit, weird somehow. Maybe it was the angle, maybe it was his open mouth, but something did not quite fit... After seeing it on social media, I decided to give it a try and ordered it with this little group of items. Well, I can say he grew on me. His angle is not to bad, as is his open mouth, but I can not call him a real sea leopard IMHO. But they did their best and I am happy to have him in my collection now <3 And that was the last animal i got from MPV. I already know some animals from some brands that will come out in 2018, and it looks like a long Wish List already XD Next up are Marktplaats findings! This website never stops to amaze me, with advertisements and the people that sell and buy from it XD First I found a group of Safari ltd dinosaurs and one lost VW tiger cub that I already have. I will show you the additions that I will keep <3 First is the Postosuchus, an crocodile like creature that looks so amazing! Real predator! Now, I have no high knowledge about dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, but I am learning! And my fascination on them is growing! So I was very happy to add him into my collection <3 I was very excited when I saw the next dinosaur on the advertisement photo, the Carnegie Collection Maiasaurus and her young in a nest <3 I absolutely adore the young in the next, they are so darn cute! Love the caring pose of the Maiasaurus <3 Very happy to have these on my Carnegie shelf now <3 Last one is a sea dinosaur <3 A Liopleurodon, the forth one on my sea dinosaur shelf now. I love the coloring and patterns on this one, looks like a good camouflage for being in the water. This is the only one with its mouth open, love the teeth XD My sea dinosaur shelf is getting really full now. An other group from Marktplaats, again, dinosaurs XD It was a small group, with some Safari ltd dinosaurs and come copies! I did not like the copies, but I kept the Safari ltd dinosaurs. A Spinosaurus, a baby Brontosaurus and a baby Stegosaurus. All have an orange and brown color scheme, perfect for this Autumn season XD Happy to have them now <3 Copies *hides* Bootlegs... I am mostly against copies, bootlegs, rip-offs... But in this hobby, this collectors hobby, you can not get under the fact that maybe ones or twice, you will find a copy that is your taste or that you want to have. And now, I have an other copy in my collection. (I have a total of three, or maybe four copies against 1200 animal models, but still.) This is a big one, a white wolf! The original is a resin from a brand or person called Mr.Z. The original comes in three beautiful colors; white, brown and gray. The copy only comes in two colors, white and gray. I found mine thanks to the help of Nardien, who gave me the link on AliExpress <3 I feel like a hypocrite XD But when I look at the wolf, it makes me smile and I love him. Does that makes the fact better that the wolf is a copy from an original resin model, nope... Last but not least are bouncing ball animals <3 These bouncing balls drive me nuts! They are so small, so cute and I want them all! But they are so hard to find! Julie found two amazing sets on the internet, one with ducks and one with cats! And I want them both so bad XD <3 But I can not seem to find a web-shop that is selling them as a set and not with 1000 in one go -_-" I keep an eye out in small stores, Marktplaats, flea-markets, etc. But even there these bouncing balls with an animal inside are hard to find! Oh well, here are my cute little finds from these couple of weeks <3 Books! Book market in Leeuwarden: Second hand shop in Bolsward: Other second hand shops: This was it! Hope you enjoyed reading this blog <3 It was my birthday in November and I got some nice things I will show in the next blog-entry! <3
And there goes September! What a month! Many things happened and it went all so fast, or slow, depends on what it was XD Keeping it short, because I have much to show! First, our vacation, begin September. We had such a good time <3 Found many wonderful things, made wonderful memories <3 And then, rebuilding our house! Or actually, how we end up not doing that at all... We had planned to rebuild our living room/kitchen area, but it got canceled... But, instead of focusing on being sad and all, we did my hobbyroom <3 I got new shelves!! The big white cabinet moved downstairs and I got fresh new shelves, with a lot of extra room to add even more model animals XD Tijn did all of the shelf making and such <3 And last but not least, I am sick... Well, doing better now. But I had a big cold and I was not feeling like typing my blog at all. So there will be no September 2017 blog-entry... But an October 2018 one instead! Lets begin with the new additions! Oh, just one little note. Books will come at the end. I always try to include them, but I somehow forget or do not take the right photographs of them to include them. I did take good photographs of them now, so they are in this blog-entry for sure <3 Our vacation <3 We started in Schinnen, a place in Limburg. It was a long drive from our home, but it was worth it <3 We where standing on a beautiful campsite. Just 150 meters away from a beautiful forest. I have walked multiple times, alone, with my camera and model animals there. We visited Aachen, a city in Germany. Where I found some nice Bullyland animals <3 I do not come across this brand very often, so it was nice to search from a broad collection in their shops. We also went to a flea market in Schinnen. I found some books, that will be shown further down in this blog-entry. And I found a nice little Bullyland Mammoth. We also visited Valkenburg, where we walked trough the city center and had some coffee and cake <3 There I saw this beautiful Border Collie statue, from Leonardo Collection <3 It was a tricolor, stalking Border Collie <3 Sadly, the store was closed. We only had one week of vacation and we decided to move to Epe, in Gelderland. There we stood on a campsite in the middle of a big forest. Wild rabbits roamed free on the campsite and in the evening, wild boars would sniff alongside the fence, looking for food. There we went to different second hand shops, in the small cities and villages around Epe. I found, again, some nice books <3 I also found a Safari ltd Authentic polar bear. And.... I found something I would never though I would find there! The stalking, tricolor Border Collie. I was in shock XD How did I manage to find, a statue in a second hand store, two hours driving from Valkenburg?! He stood between many other statues, on a shelf. And the best thing was: he was only 5 euros! <3 I took him with me of course! <3 Next is a wonderful Buddy Box from Julie! <3 I love the fact we are still doing this, after 3 years or so. It is always such an exciting feeling, when the postman delivers a Buddy Box <3 This one was filled with so many beautiful things, again <3 Just look at this complete photo <3 Lets start with the bigger animals! <3 Julie managed to find two CollectA sea dinosaurs. A Tylosaurus and a Lioplurodon. Thanks to her, I now have a small and a big Lioplurodon <3 CollectA makes such good animals and dinosaurs, that is not hard to imagine they are great in their paint job, details and size. We stay with the dinosaurs for some bit, as Julie had two Safari ltd Authentic dinosaurs that where looking fr a new home. I could not say no to them, so she packed them in her Buddy Box. The previous owner, not Julie herself, had stabbed two pins right trough the poor critters. The pins where heated, before they where just stabbed in the dinosaurs back. My heart breaks when I see such molestation to old and precious models like these. Luckily Tijn could remove the pins, with no problem. The only thing remaining, is a little puncture point and some burned plastic around it. They are safe and in a loving new home now <3 Next are some crazy, cute and tiny dinosaurs! <3 Julie has a group of K&M mini dinosaurs and she had some of them double and offered those to me. Of course I could not say no to that! I mean, tiny dinosaurs! <3 They are so cute! And so small, I am in love with them. There are more from this series and I hope to find more of them in the future <3 Like the little saber tooth and the Ichthyosaur <3 Last dinosaur from this Buddy Box is a bit of a weird one with an unknown brand/series. It has long, thin legs (Which makes it looks so funny XD) and it has one color. (With some darker shades here and there.) I do not know where it is from, if it has a series or a brand. I suspect is it from some kind of blind bag series, as I have two other dinosaurs that have the same sculptural features and also have one color with some darker shades. I hope to find some more information about them in the future. One thing I envy Julie about, is that Naturalis (Natural Historic Museum in Leiden) is so close to her, that she can visit the gift shop whenever she wants. The museum is closed now, due to renovations and rebuilding the place, but I really want to go there sometimes <3 She found this lovely creature in their gift shop. A Wild Republic gila monster <3 It is made from a softer material that most model animals, a bit rubbery. But I do not mind that at all with this critter. It has nice details and the spots are nicely done. A couple of weeks ago, I found out that ELC made different frogs/toads. I already had a toad in my collection, but not a frog. Luckily for me, Julie found a ELC frog for me <3 It is such a nice ELC type frog! Now they both are standing with the rest of my forest ELC group <3 I really love that series from ELC <3 I have a weak spot for heavy horses. I do not know exactly why, but I do <3 I am happy that I can welcome yet an other heavy horse into my collection. This time it is the Papo lying shire foal in black and white. It is such a nice foal model <3 Papo might not be the go-to brand when it comes to horses, but I honestly think they have the most horses with the most interesting poses! <3 Like this laying foal <3 As I try to keep my collection as realistic as possible, sometimes the cute and unusual slip trough my heart and reach the wooden self-made shelves that are for the cute critters and fandom stuff <3 As did these four little critters. The two dogs are absolutely adorable and can swing their heads around when you move them, little bobble-heads <3 The wolf is a figure from the Disney film Jungle Book. The squirrel is... from... I do not know exactly XD It looks like a Disney critter, like the ones from Snow White maybe? Next one is a canine from CollectA, a red fox. It has a very sweet face and a simple paint job. CollectA has been renewing their animals, starting with the lions and tigers. Maybe they will redo some forest critters as well? I would not mind having a new fox from CollectA in my collection <3 The last one is a mystery cetacean! It is a dolphin, but I have no idea from which brand it is or what species it exactly is. It is the same size as tube figures, or Play Vision dolphins. But I never saw this dolphin before. It has no mark, no 'made in China', nothing on his belly or side. The spots and the pink belly are not something you see everyday on a cetacean model. It is a very nice figure, with nice flukes, fins and rostrum. Happy to have him in my collection now <3 Thank you so much Julie, for yet an other beautiful Buddy Box. <3 Next is a very lovely package from Nardien. We decided to do a trade and she ordered some animals for me from Modellpferdeversand <3 All are new releases from major brands from 2017 <3 Especially Papo, Safari ltd and CollectA did an amazing job on their new 2017 animals. Lets start with the first one, the Papo fennec fox! I was so looking forward to this one! What a sweet looking canine! Legs are long, but that does not batter and it fits this animal well. The face is sweet looking and it has those characteristic big ears <3 I am very pleased with this canine, Papo did a good job on it <3 Next is a second Papo animal, an arctic hare. Now I have two arctic hares, one by Papo and one by Schleich. I really like the style of Papo better, than the Schleich version of the arctic hare. I really like the face of this one and the fact that it is not a solid white coated animal. I looks like it is ready to jump away. 2017 is the year of the dingo. After the addition of the beautiful Southland Replica's dingo male, I also have the Safari ltd dingo now <3 And ohmygoodness, what a stunning figure! I am so happy that they released it in normal size and not as a Wildlife Wonder. It has the Safari ltd style and it fits him so well <3 He has a normal standing pose, but it is a very nice looking dingo and you can see that at once. Very happy to have this beauty in my collection now <3 Second animal from Safari ltd that I got in this package, is the harpy eagle! What a majestic bird! It fits the series and style very well, first harpy eagle in my collection <3 The details on the feathers and the wings are great. And it has those typical feathers on his head. Very happy to have this bird in my collection <3 Next are two CollectA animals, first one is an antelope that I personally would not even imagine in figure form, the saiga antelope <3 Talking about a weird animal, this antelope has a trunk like snout. CollectA dares to make the weird and the wonderful in the animal kingdom and I love them for doing that! So now this beautiful antelope is standing in my collection and I love it! Must have for every collector <3 And last but not least, an other CollectA animal. The ivory-billed woodpecker <3 On a tree! The bird has many details and the tree is also nicely made. Only minus is, for my collection, is that the tree is to high. So he does not fit between the two glass shelves where he belongs.... So he is standing, all alone, on one of my deer shelves.... Oh well, it is still a beautiful sculpted animal <3 So he can stay there <3 Thank you so much for this wonderful trade Nardien <3 These new additions are amazing! If I can help a friend, I am more than willing to help them <3 WhiteLightningWolf has some sales up on eBay, due to personal reasons she is selling some animal models and plushes. She posted some photos of them on her Instagram account, and there it was: a little Hagen-Renaker cat <3 I was in love <3 I asked if she had more little critters like the HR cat. She showed me all she had. I bought all of them XD The others are Little Critterz and they are absolutely adorable! When the package arrived, she even included a gift! A beautiful Kaiyodo black Main Coon cat! I love all of them and I am extremely happy to own some Little Critterz now. They are ceramic, which not many collectors collect. But they are detailed and they have many interesting species <3 I love them to bits <3 Thank you so much Fallon!! <3 After me overspending on a group I bought from Instagram, I would never buy an model animal there again (customs and repaints not included). I did not say a thing about trading XD I made a trade with Lokidaemonium. A very nice person who was interested in some animals I had up for trade. And luckily for me, he had some animals that would fit nicely into my collection. A Procon baby dinosaur and a Bullyland iguana. I really liking both. The Bullyland iguana has a place on my desk and the baby dinosaur is standing safe and sound with the rest of my dinosaurs <3 Thank you for this trade! Sparky says hello <3 We stay with the Bullyland animals, as I found two reptiles in a toy store in Leeuwarden last month. A chameleon and an albino python. These Bullyland reptiles are bigger than any in my vitrine, and they do not fit in anymore. So they have a nice little spot with my plants and some boxes on my desk. It looks very neat with the green colors and their size. I really love it <3 The last figure of this blog-entry is a small Safari ltd Authentics horse I found on Marktplaats. I adore this series from safari ltd so much, and I am very happy to include this little fella into my collection <3 He is photographed with the Safari ltd Authentics polar bear I found on our vacation <3 Books! Books from our vacation: Books from local second hand shops: New bought books from a book store in Almere: Books from Julie's Buddy Box: Thank you for visiting and reading this blog-entry. i already have half of my desk full of new animals to show you in my next blog-entry. Who will not be as late as this one, I hope. See you in the next one! <3
Hello everyone! Thanks for reading yet an other blog-entry! This weeks Friday we will go on vacation, for a whole week! <3 We need a break! We are going with our caravan to Valkenburg <3 The caravan already stands in front of our house, ready to be packed. I do most of the packing work XD Not that I mind <3 I am planning to bring a whole box full of model animals with me on this holiday trip! As photographing model animals is kinda addicting XD I hope the weather stays good, so we can walk and dome some sightseeing <3 I hope I will come across some new TipToi animals, as we are going to Germany as well, just for one day :) Of course Gaell is coming to <3 But lets not astray, and let me show my new additions <3 Lets begin with a special Buddy Box. For the people who a reading my blog for a while, all know that Julie is my main Buddy Box buddy <3 But recently, also Nardien joint the Buddy Box fun and she sent me one this month! And ohmygoodness, I can say I was blown away with all the goodies that where in the BB <3 Look! So many beautiful and useful things <3 I will only show the model animals, as the rest of the photos I took are... Well, not really sharp... So no book and no stuffed animal. But the WNF puma plush will be showed in the next blog-entry, after our vacation is over <3 Lets begin with the model animals <3 Note: photos in this blog are not from the best quality, sorry about that. Nardien is a person who already knows what I like, so her choices are perfect <3 She checks my Wish List frequently it seems XD I have a soft spot for marine dinosaurs. I do not know why, but I find them fascinating and very cool! Due to limited space, I can not have them all. But because many are really big, I tent to keep it small. But for some, I make an exception. For example the Papo Plesiosaur <3 I fell in love with this animal, the moment I saw it in Nardiens new additions topic. But I could never imagine that I would get that exact Plesiosaur! <3 I love his face so much XD It has a really sneaky grin <3 Next animal is one that has been on my Wish List for a long time. The Safari LTD Smilodon <3 When Nardien texted me, if I could remove the Smilodon from my Wish List (So I would not get any doubles.) I was very curious and enthusiastic! When the package arrived, I was so happy to see it in my own hands. Surely one of my favorite saber-tooth/Smilodon figures out there. Hope to find her cub one day as well <3 Next one was a big surprise, as I had never seen this model before. A Safari LTD salmon! I knew Safari LTD make very beautiful fishes. As I have seen some of them and I own one beautiful Safari LTD fish. This salmon is just gorgeous! Nice size with many details and great colors <3 Happy to have this one in my collection now <3 Nardien also included a Southland Replica in her Buddy Box! The standing red kangaroo! What a beast! These animals are very big and can fight like boxers, this model really represents their tougher side! It is tall, 16cm high! It has many great details and it makes a great photo-model <3 Really happy to have yet an other SR animal in my collection now <3 Next are two cute little kittens, Papo playing kittens <3 These two are so adorable! They made friends with my Schleich kittens already. Nice addition to my kitten and puppy shelf <3 The last animal from Nardiens Buddy Box is a very special one <3 Sometimes Nardien posts repaints that her mother makes, on her Instagram page. Mainly horses, but also other animals. I asked if she did commissions, not really getting into details, but a Border Collie would be nice. Nardien included a little cute tin in the Buddy Box, with... a repainted Border Collie inside! His name is Plato <3 And Nardiens mother repainted it for me! <3 So sweet!! Now I have three repainted 'Made in China' Border Collies. One I did, one Julie did and now one from Nardiens mother <3 Plato has beautiful golden eyes and a blue merle spotted coat <3 Thank you so much, Nardiens mother! <3 And thank you so much, Nardien, for sending me this awesome Buddy Box! Next group, is a group I bought on Instagram. But thanks to this person, I will never buy model animals from Instagram again. Only repaints/customs from people I know or being recommended to me. He contacted me, if I was interested in his model animals. After some talking, discussing and being a kind person, I bought some of his model animals. I overpaid, big time. The only two models that are worth the trouble; are two big K&M animals <3 The rest... I could have bought from MPV, for a much lower price and better condition. I noticed this little detail, after I paid him... Well, sometimes you have to take the gamble, I guess. The model animals are not to blame and I still like them. Lets see what we have here... First one is the Safari LTD warthog. Very nice and alert pose! He is bigger than the Schleich ones I have in my collection. I like his light browns colors. <3 Next one is one of the animals, other than the big K&M animals, that I fell in love with. The cute Safari LTD Clydesdale foal <3 His face, his colors, his pose, I love him <3 I am happy he is now, safe and sound, in my collection. Safe in a big and loving horse herd. <3 And here are the two big K&M animals <3 I love this series from K&M! A platypus and a red wolf cub <3 Extremely happy to have these two in my collection now. Wondering if the platypus has a baby, or an adult that goes with it. And I hope to have at least the adult red wolf in my collection one day <3 Luckily, you can never go wrong on flea markets and second hand shops <3 Have been to the Drafbaan in Wolvega this month. Big outdoor flea marked <3 Found some very nice little animals. Made a group photo of them. Sadly, the camera wouldn't focus on the animals on the sides... I found two mini Jurassic Park dinos. A rat that has no markings on it, but it still looks good! Two gray bunnies, I think these are from some kind of play-set. And a little Safari LTD Good Luck Mini elephant <3 Last but not least for this blog is, a group of small animals that I found in a bag that I got from Marktplaats. A big bag, full of model animals! There was only one photo in the advertisement, so I could only see what was on top of the pile of model animals XD I saw some nice looking old Schleich animals and decided to bid. I was able to buy the bag <3 I only found some animals for my collection. But luckily, I could make Julie and Nardien happy with some of the content <3 This little group contains: Schleich old Arabian foal. Two Natoon animal, a arctic fox and a polar bear <3 Very old Schleich sitting back cat. A standing blak cat, that I think is some kind of advertisement item. Bullyland micro rat <3 Troetels seal <3 And a Schleich little pink pig, that is from a series of 5/6 little pink piggies in different poses. I hope I will find some nice new animals, when we are on vacation. Then I will make a special vacation blog when we are back home <3 Thanks for watching and reading <3
