We are back! With some great new additions! I still have vacation til the end of this week, but we arrived home last week. We spend 1.5 week on 4 different campsites, including a goat farm and a campsite with loads of wild rabbits! We enjoyed our time spending it relaxing, sightseeing, walking trough woods and fields and shopping! The last part resulted in some great findings <3 Gaell had a good time also. Enjoying the space he had outside fetching balls and sniffing and seeing different kinds of exciting dog-things :3 First thing I will show is a small bird I got before we went on holidays. I got it from Marktplaats and the seller was so kind to only sent this K&M Martial Eagle, when I asked if I could only buy this one bird from a lot of plastic animals. Not often do sellers want to sell just one animal out from a bigger lot. First place where I bought some interesting things was in a information center from Staatsbosbeheer. A foundation for protecting and observing Dutch forests. It had a great shop, with items worth drooling over. I had to keep myself from buying all sorts of things, but I managed to leave with a few. I bought two thee-mugs with birds on it for in the caravan and some things for Tijn as well. I bought two amazing bird cards, one of them is hanging on our wall already. The other one is handy for observing birds around our house/neighborhood. Or for repainting purposes. Nothing is so exciting than visiting a friend who is living so far away from your house, that you only can visit her by driving hours. We where standing on a campsite near her, so a visit was only logical <3 Meeting Julie was great, she welcome us with open arms . After a visit to her room and a cup of coffee, we decided to go into Deventer, city full of books <3 Gaell was with us. He is not a shopping kind of dog at all. So he did his best to behave and trying not to get too whiny about me being with Julie in all kinds of wonderful shops. Old book shops smell so darn good XD I found two amazing wildlife guides, that HAD to go with me! Next time, we will visit without Gaell, to make sure I can shop without being al too worried about our Border Collie XD (Sorry Julie!) I lost time when Julie showed me all kinds of amazing things, from books to drawings, she has a perfect taste <3 But of course I could not leave empty handed, Julie had some things for me. Things that would actually be in her surprise box to me. A cute and cuddly TY bear named Almond. But it left me in awe when I saw a Border Collie tray, a perfect Border Collie tray <3 And I forgot to photograph a little figure from Finding Dory Blind Bag series. This time I got Debby, the weird coot-bird. ~Thank you so much!~ At one campsite, we where close to the German border and we decided to take a look into one of the German cities nearby. There I went nuts about the fact that they had new 2016 Tiptoi animals! Tiptoi, being from Ravensburger, is not to popular here in the Netherlands. You can find some animals, but I did not come across the new ones from 2016 yet. Well, in toyshop Vedes I did! I grabbed the orca, bottlenose dolphin and seal when I saw them. Sadly no wolf. Also the tiger looked promising, but with the other three I went above budget already XD But I am so happy to have them now, just look at them; We also went to a mini museum with a lot of beautiful taxidermy animals in dioramas. Theme was European wildlife and that was shown perfectly. Love this Natural History kind of museums. They also had a small gift shop and of course I could not leave without some nice items! Shopping is fun.... when stores are opened XD We went back to some stores when they where open the next day. I had my eye caught on a BC statue when the shops where closed. Not funny when you look at a beautiful BC statue and you can't enter the shop to look at it better. But when the shop was open, my mouth fell open. The amount of Leonardo (and several other likewise brands) was so big, that I had to walk 3 times trough the store to look at everything! My attention immediately went to the BC Leonardo Dog Studies, who was in my prize range! So it went with me, together with an other, rather cute, BC pups and chicken statue and two small cats <3 In a secondhand garage sale I found an interesting color variation of a NewRay chimp family. Last but not least, some feathers! Left side are wild bird feathers, right side are feathers from chickens who live on the goat farm where we stayed a few days. We where camping actually next to one of the two chicken-pens they have. Funny and cute chickens <3 oh and an acorn in the middle XD So that was our vacation with the caravan, touring trough the Netherlands. Next week 'normal' live starts again. We had a great time seeing beautiful things, finding some great nature, relaxing, spending time with each other, being creative and photographing new little friends <3
